Track Your App Usage with AppAnalytics

Have you ever wondered how much time you have spent perusing FlipBoard, or maybe you are worried about your Angry Birds addiction? A new jailbreak tweak called AppAnalytics can help you monitor how long you have spent using each app on your iPhone.

Jailbreak Tweaks

AppAnalytics keeps track of how many minutes or hours you have spent using an app, and how many times you have launched an app each month. It requires iOS 4 or later and supports 30 languages.

Apple N Berry Offering Permanent Unlock Solution for AT&T iPhones

Online parts vendor Apple N Berry is offering a permanent unlock solution for AT&T iPhones. According to the product page, the AT&T iPhone IMEI Unlock allows your iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, and 4S to stay permanently unlocked even after an iOS upgrade or SIM card swap.

iPhone Unlock

Unlike SIM interposers, the AT&T iPhone IMEI Unlock requires no extra software, jailbreak or hardware to unlock your iPhone. All Apple N Berry requires is that it's an AT&T handset for it to work. The AT&T iPhone IMEI Unlock is $150 and requires 1 to 2 business days to be activated. The unlock comes with a money back guarantee, however, there has been no confirmation outside of Apple N Berry that this solution works.

iPhone 5 to Have 30-pin Dock Adapter, September Launch?

If you haven't already heard, the next generation iPhone will come equipped with a 19-pin dock connector, shrinking the charging and data port size to make room for other components. While this sounds like a great improvement, many have wondered if this move by Apple will render millions of iPhone accessories obsolete. Now according to a report by iMore, Apple will solve this problem with a dock adapter.

iPhone 5 concept

The smaller 19-pin port can be seen in the iPhone renderings above, which are based on parts photos and information leaked from the supply chain. By making the dock connector smaller, Apple is using space more effectively and will have room inside the chassis for an LTE radio and more.

iOS 6 Will Not Require Credit Card for Free Apps

Ever wonder why Apple requires an Apple ID linked to a credit card to download free apps on the App Store? Obviously it makes sense when you're purchasing something, but there are so many free apps that many iPhone owners never buy anything.

iOS App Store

iDownloadBlog now says the latest beta of iOS 6 has dropped the requirement to sign in for free apps, meaning if you aren't interested in linking a credit card to your App Store downloads, you won't have to. This is a welcome change for many iPhone users watching their wallet, and their security.
