iPhone X launch spawns Animoji Karaoke videos

Now that the iPhone X has been released, owners of the device are flexing all of its capabilities. One of the highlights is Apple's Animoji, which uses the front facing TrueDepth camera to animate wacky creatures. And what better way to use a $1,000 smartphone than to lip sync videos with those creatures? Enter the Animoji karaoke phenomenon, spreading across Twitter and other social media.

With iPhone X pre-orders still weeks away, Face ID has yet to arrive in consumers' hands. This hasn't stopped renowned KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from predicting Apple's next moves surrounding the technology. Despite the fact that Touch ID was only introduced four years ago, Kuo expects Apple to leave Touch ID in the dust starting in fall 2018.

Apple has detailed its privacy policies and technology on the web for some time. Now the company offers a redesigned Privacy website, bringing updated information to consumers alongside the release of iOS 11 and the iPhone X. The site introduction declares that "privacy is a fundamental human right" and continues on, explaining how Apple products are designed to protect privacy and security.

Can I use Face ID while wearing makeup/glasses/hats?

Apple's TrueDepth camera system with Face ID technology is designed to recognize you even when your appearance changes, or when you're wearing makeup, glasses or a hat. You can cut your hair, grow a beard and your phone will still recognize you. The Face ID technology can even recognize you in low light situations allowing you to unlock your device almost anywhere.

Apple event details confirmed by iOS 11

Apple is set to announce several new products tomorrow at its brand new Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. Besides showing off the company's new digs, Apple is expected to take the wraps off of a special-edition 10th anniversary iPhone. While there have been several beta versions of iOS 11 released to the public, a wave of information was revealed last week by a leaked copy of the golden master.
