Apple's 2019 iPhone launch event is just weeks away. There's been no shortage of information reported in leaks and rumors surrounding the next generation iPhones. For anyone looking to buy a new iPhone or sneak a preview of what's coming, here are highlights of what's expected in September. Of course, until Apple takes the stage at the Steve Jobs Theater, nothing is official.
Recent reports claim that the iPhone 11 will come in 3 different sizes like the previous iPhone XS and XR models. This means 5.8-inch, 6.5-inch, and 6.1-inch displays will be available. Other rumors for the next-generation device include ultra-wide band, bilateral wireless charging for charging AirPods and other devices, frosted glass finish, better batteries, upgraded triple camera design, and upgraded flood illuminator.
Apple is expected to release the successor to the iPhone XS and iPhone XR sometime in the fall of 2019. There will allegedly be 3 iPhone 11 models with 3 different screen sizes at 6.5-inch, 5.8-inch, and 6.1-inch. All 3 models will ship with Lightning connectors instead of USB-C, like some previous rumors had suggested. Other iPhone 11 rumors include frosted glass casings, bilateral wireless charging, larger batteries, improved FaceTime, and a triple camera, but nothing has been confirmed.
