iOS devices offer a quick way to hide specific pictures in the Photos app. Hiding photos simply places them into a Hidden album, and removes the images from elsewhere in the photo library. While this provides iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users with an easy method of hiding pictures on the Camera Roll or another album, these images can be viewed directly in the Hidden album at any time.

App ratings on iTunes can be helpful when shopping for an app. But it's easy to forget this when an app nags you for a rating with a pop-up window. Not only does it interrupt what you're doing, but these in-app rating requests can repeat in the same app. Although Apple limits rating requests to three times per 365-day period for each app, there's an easy way to abolish them once and for all.

Apple has made it easier for iPhone users to access Apple Pay by double-clicking their Home button. This is a useful feature if you regularly use Apple Pay and other cards in your digital wallet, such as loyalty cards, but it can be annoying if you don't. Accidentally or impatiently clicking your Home button a few times will bring you to the new Apple Pay shortcut instead of unlocking your iPhone. You then need to tap your Home button again to leave the Apple Pay screen then unlock your phone. Luckily there is a way to disable this feature. Here's how:

Apple introduced new battery health charts for the iPhone in iOS 12. The battery Usage and Activity charts can be found in the Battery section of the Settings app. The new tools are an extension of the Battery Health tools introduced iOS 11.3. iPhone users can now see their last charge level, and battery usage by apps broken down by the last 24 hours and last 10 days.

Overall, Apple's wireless AirPods have received positive reviews from publications and customers alike. The only complaint is the $160 price tag. This pricing hasn't changed since they were first launched in December 2016. With rumors of a refreshed AirPods model on the horizon, there are now opportunities to get discounts on AirPods.
