A new Dutch horror film called App aims to make cell phone usage in theaters socially acceptable by allowing users to interact with the movie via their smartphones. Moviegoers are encouraged to download a free app from the App Store which uses special technology to send messages and images to the audience in real time.

2CFilm, who produced the movie, is touting App as the first movie with a "second screen", and promises the film will stand alone for those who prefer to keep their cell phones turned off. However, the producers didn't explain what happens when people using the app start to receive outside calls or texts during the movie.

Kingdom Rush: Frontiers Teaser Trailer

Ironhide Game Studio has released the first teaser trailer for Kingdom Rush: Frontiers. The game is a sequel the popular tower defense game Kingdom Rush. The trailer doesn't reveal much, but it does show all the original turrets (Mage, Archers, Barracks, and Artillery) from the first game. Ironhide said the "bigger, meaner and better" sequel will be released this fall.

In the original game players use a combination of towers, magic and upgrades to fend off armies of goblins, trolls and other monsters. The game is set set in Medieval times, and is considered one of the best TD games released for iOS and Android devices. You can download the original iPhone version for $0.99, or the HD iPad version for $2.99.

Apple Releases iOS 6.1.3: Does Patch evasi0n Jailbreak (Updated)

Apple has released iOS 6.1.3 which fixes the lock screen security bug, and improves the Maps app for users in Japan. It is unknown at this time if the update patches the evasi0n jailbreak. This means users with jailbroken devices should avoid the update until we learn more. All other iOS users can navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, or connect their devices to iTunes to upgrade their devices.

The evad3rs' Twitter feed has been quiet since the release, and the official evasi0n website has not been updated to reflect it supports the new firmware.

UPDATE: Evad3rs member MuscleNerd issued this warning to jailbreakers via Twitter: "IOS 6.1.3 is out. Jailbreakers stay away! There's no coming back to 6.1.2 JB even if you saved blobs (except iPhone4 and ipt4g."
