iOS App of the Week: MLB.com At Bat

Most of the major league sports apps are confusing messes bogged down with too much useless content and a heavy focus on social media, but MLB is working hard to deliver baseball fans a great experience by taking advantage of the iPhone's many features. The MLB not only outfitted twenty major ballparks with iBeacons this year, but it has also partnered with Apple to bring live games to users who utilize the iOS 7 CarPlay feature. And now the MLB is offering additional content and interactive features using iBeacon technology at this year's 2014 All-Star Game in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The MLB.com At Bat app has been updated All-Star Week 2014 support, and MLB.TV Premium subscribers will be able to live stream the 85th All-Star Game on July 15. Major League Baseball also plans to add more iBeacons to additional ballparks throughout the year.

iWatch Production Pushed Back

While many analysts have pointed to September as the start of mass production of the highly anticipated iWatch and a launch date some time in October, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a reputation for accurate predictions regarding Apple products, sees things differently.

One of the key jailbreak tweaks since iOS 5 has been IntelliScreenX. Angry Birds Star Wars II is Now Free on the App Store, Adds 30 New Levels

Angry Birds Star Wars II has been updated with 30 new levels, and it is free for the first time on the Apple App Store. The all-new "Master Your Destiny" chapter allows you to play as a young Jedi warrior or Pork Federation member as you train to become a Jedi or Sith Knight. There are 15 new Bird Side levels and 15 new Pork Side levels.

YouTube Creator Studio

If you have never played Angry Birds Star Wars II, the game is based on the original Star Wars prequels. Players can choose to join the Force for good, “Join the Pork Side” and play as popular villains such as Darth Maul. The game features over 30 playable characters based on popular Star Wars universe and it supports Hasbro's interactive telepod toys.

YouTube Creator Studio Now Available on the App Store

Google has finally released its YouTube Creator Studio app for iOS devices. The app provides YouTubers with tools to manage their accounts and videos on the go. Users with a YouTube account can now quickly access video/channel analytics and moderate comments on their iPhone or iPad. The app basically gives you 24-hour access to your account so you can edit and moderate your personal channel at anytime.
