The newest kid-friendly game from Toca features 15 cute and cuddly animals for children to take care of. The game is recommended for ages 2-6.
ETA: $2.99 for the iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 7 or later) Rated 4+
ETA is a map app that estimates driving and walking times to the places you most frequent. It also promises to deliver directions in less taps than Apple's Map app, and it stores frequently used destinations so you don't have to clutter your Address Book with tons of locations.

Learnist: The World's Knowledge At Your Fingertips: Free for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 7 or later) Rated 12+
Learnist is another social media app that promises to answer all your questions, and replace the need to google inquires such as "why the sky blue"? It is described as a "crowd-sourced collection of the world's knowledge".
Disney Anywhere: Free for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 7 or later) Rated 9+ ***App of the Week***
The Disney Anywhere movie streaming app is an easy way to keep and watch all your Disney, Pixar and Marvel digital movies in one place. Users can store their already purchased iTunes downloads, access and buy more Disney digital movies, and redeem Disney digital codes all within the app. The app also allows you to download your movies to any iOS device for offline viewing.
