New Podcasts App Available in Apple's App Store

Many believed Apple would release their new standalone Podcasts app alongside iOS 6, but they have decided to release it today instead. The app is now available for download in the App Store for devices running iOS 5.1 or later. Apple promises that the new app will make discovering and subscribing to podcasts much easier. It does this with a great UI and by offering many features like the innovative new Top Stations option.

Top Stations allows you to find new podcasts in a variety of topics like comedy, music or sports. The new app also features social networking sharing, in-app podcast management, and customizable playlists. You can browse by Audio or Video podcasts, and will have access to thousands of shows in over 40 languages. Read on for a complete list of features and requirements.

Play the Free Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Game Before You See it in Theaters

AlKal Media has released the Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter game for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The free app is based on the Tim Burton produced movie opening in theaters on June 22nd. The game pits you against terrifying creatures of the night as you battle through multiple vampire laden levels including Bart’s Dock, the Oval Office and the Plantation Ballroom.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter the movie is based on the best-selling book by Seth Grahame-Smith. It follows Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States as he tries to stop vampires from taking over the country. The film stars Benjamin Walker as Lincoln and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Mary Todd Lincoln.

Spotify Announces Free Radio Play in the US

Spotify has announced that free radio play is coming to the U.S. in a few days. The update was supposed to roll out starting today, but Spotify decided it wasn't quite ready for public consumption. iPhone and iPad users will have access to an unlimited amount of music once the new radio feature is integrated into the iOS app.

The update offers limitless streaming radio stations and the ability to like your favorite songs so you can easily find them later. Free users will have to deal with advertisements, while Premium users will continue to enjoy an ad-free experience. Spotify is available to download for free in the App Store. Facebook Makes Sharing Photos Easier With New Camera Application

Facebook has launched a new camera app for all iOS devices. The app makes sharing and viewing multiple photos easier and quicker. Facebook Camera features a camera shortcut so you can quickly snap pictures, and it allows you to post multiple photos instead of having to post one at a time. You can also add captions and tag your friends and location before you share.

Facebook Camera also makes viewing pictures easier by eliminating status updates in your feed. It's separate from the original Facebook application so you won't lose your normal feed once installed. Version 1.0.1 is available for free in the iTunes App Store. It's compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation) and iPad Wi-Fi + 4G. It requires iOS 4.3 or later.

Pod2g Adds the iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G to List of Supported Jailbreak Devices [iOS 5.1.1]

iOS developer pod2g is only a "couple of weeks" away from releasing his new jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1. He previously announced that he had successfully tested the jailbreak on the original iPad, iPad 2, new iPad, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Meaning that the iPod 3G, iPhone 3GS and ATV3 would not be supported. On Friday, pod2g announced that both the iPod 3G and iPhone 3GS will be compatible with the new jailbreak.

Jailbreak iOS 5.1.1

"Good news. We've found a way through for iPod 3G and iPhone 3Gs users. Upcoming jailbreak will be compatible."

There was also some confusion over what iPad models would be supported, but it seems safe to assume that the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak will work with every version of the iPad. Pod2g hasn't officially tested the iPhone 3GS, or non-Wi-Fi iPads yet, but he has said that they "should work." Read on for his complete list of tested devices for the upcoming jailbreak.
