Anyone interested in repairing an iPhone has probably heard of the extensive DIY resources available at iFixit. Now the same site that offers a multitude of tutorial videos, repair guides and device teardowns offers iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Fix Kits. Fix Kits are packages which include all of the needed tools and parts for a specific repair.

Starting with iOS 7, iPhone and iPad apps have been able to run in the background, refreshing even while not in use (prior to this only location services and music playback would run in the background). This allowed apps to update often instead of only updating when opened, so for example, you could get notifications from apps like Twitter and Facebook Messenger without having to launch them.

While lens filters for the iPhone's Camera app have been around for several iOS generations now, iOS 11 not only changes the available filters, but changes the user interface as well. Apple touts them in its iOS 11 preview:
"New professional-quality filters take the camera on iPhone to another level. Portrait photos are more expressive. Skin tones more natural. There are even filters for applying classic looks to your portraiture photography."

The text editing feature on iOS has always been an issue. Using your finger to drag the blue cursor across your display not only blocked what you were trying to edit, but it was like trying to drop a needle down a small crack. Sometimes the copy and paste options would pop up for no reason, or you would begin highlighting text when you didn't want to. It could be a real nightmare trying to edit a text message or email, until Apple introduced the Force Touch trackpad.
