The Corona 5.0.1 Untether package has received another update, this time to correct an iBooks problem where images failed to display or displayed incorrectly after installation. Chronic Dev Team released Corona 5.0.1 Untether to free tethered jailbroken devices including the iPhone 4 from the need to reboot with a computer.

After installing early releases of both Corona and the redsn0w jailbreak for iPhone 4 and 3GS devices, some users had problems with iBooks including a Configuration Error dialog. The latest version of Corona (1.0-7) should fix both iBooks errors and can be installed directly from Cydia on a jailbroken device.

Siri has been receiving lots of attention lately from iPhone 4S owners looking to expand her capabilities. There are more tweaks and customizations arriving every day from developers in the jailbreak community. Of course, there are still things you can teach Siri to do without jailbreaking your iPhone 4S.

Although Apple has not included support for Siri to update social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, you can easily set up your iPhone 4S to make this possible. Siri will then take your commands and upload the message directly to your account. The same trick can even be used to let Siri update Google+ as well.

AssistantExtensions turns Siri into the voice assistant we've all been waiting for. It allows Siri to search YouTube videos and launch apps, but best of all it can make her hold intimate conversations with you. Saying the phrase "Lets Chat" activates the Siri chat mode. After a short wait for her to load some textual data, Siri will tell jokes and give you information without having to connect to the web. For example, asking her "what is Apple" will result in her giving you three definitions, the third being "Empire for Steve Jobs." AssistantExtensions opens a whole new world of possibilities for Siri, and it even allows you to have custom conversations if you take the time to create them.

It only took a few months but Sprint finally released an iPhone app for their customers. Like other carrier apps, the "Sprint Zone" allows users to access their account, search for promotions, read Sprint news and locate Sprint stores. There is also an Apple store locator, easy access to Apple Care, and the ability to check simple device info like battery stats and data connection. The App is free in the iTunes App Store for devices running iOS 5 or later.

Now that the iPhone 4S has been jailbroken developers are scrambling to provide new tweaks and improvements to enhance iOS 5. The Siri personal assistant is exclusive to the iPhone 4S and is already getting some great enhancements to add functionality. One example of a feature left out by Apple is the ability to update Twitter with Siri.

Apple still considers Siri technology in a beta phase, which is probably one reason why sending tweets is not officially supported. Not only this, but iOS 5 is the first time Apple has integrated Twitter into the operating system. Now thanks to Sireet, jailbroken iPhone 4S users can natively send tweets using Siri.
