Sprint Finally Launches 'Sprint Zone' iPhone App

It only took a few months but Sprint finally released an iPhone app for their customers. Like other carrier apps, the "Sprint Zone" allows users to access their account, search for promotions, read Sprint news and locate Sprint stores. There is also an Apple store locator, easy access to Apple Care, and the ability to check simple device info like battery stats and data connection. The App is free in the iTunes App Store for devices running iOS 5 or later.

Use Siri to Update Twitter With Sireet iPhone Tweak

Now that the iPhone 4S has been jailbroken developers are scrambling to provide new tweaks and improvements to enhance iOS 5. The Siri personal assistant is exclusive to the iPhone 4S and is already getting some great enhancements to add functionality. One example of a feature left out by Apple is the ability to update Twitter with Siri.

Sireet install jailbreak tweak

Apple still considers Siri technology in a beta phase, which is probably one reason why sending tweets is not officially supported. Not only this, but iOS 5 is the first time Apple has integrated Twitter into the operating system. Now thanks to Sireet, jailbroken iPhone 4S users can natively send tweets using Siri.

MagSafe Cable Accessories Coming to iPhone / iPad?

Apple's MagSafe connectors were first introduced in 2006 and are currently only available on various MacBook notebook computers and the Apple LED Cinema Display. Turns out Apple is still working on patents to expand use of the technology to more of its products, namely future models of the iPhone and iPad.

The magnetic connectors described in a patent discovered by AppleInsider would bring MagSafe functionality to a new level with a universal, programmable cable. The idea is that different pin configurations could be used to connect different devices by deploying the correct number of programmable magnetic pins on the fly.

Rumor: iPhone 5 Will Launch This Summer, No Teardrop Design

A "reliable" source who tipped off 9to5mac that the iPhone 5 would not be released last year, said the new handset is now gearing up for production. The tipster said there are several prototypes floating around Foxconn in China so it's hard to tell which one will be the final product. All the sample devices feature a 4+ inch display, but none of them feature the rumored teardrop design.

iPhone 5 Summer

Dreams of a teardrop shaped iPhone were dashed in November when an iLounge source said the iPhone 5 would not be receiving a redesign. Both sources seem to believe the next-generation iPhone will be available this summer.
