EA Releases Free Tetris Blitz App for the iPhone and iPad

Electronic Arts' mobile division has released Tetris Blitz to the U.S. App Store. Blitz offers a new twist on the classic puzzle game. Players must race against the clock to score as many points as possible before time runs out. The game features easy one-touch and swipe controls, plenty of fun and interesting power-ups, and hours of replay value.

Tetris Blitz

I originally thought Tetris Blitz was just another flashy, button mashing time killer, but it can be an addictive strategy game. Especially if you attempt to climb the leaderboards, which reset every week. The game's multiple power-ups, finishers, and Frenzy mode make it a fun mobile app that new and old Tetris fans will love.

Samurai vs Zombies 2 Just Got Bigger and Badder

It is like the developers read our minds, Samurai vs Zombies 2 is just too easy to beat, which left most players stuck with an awesome samurai army and nothing to do. Lets not even discuss the pointless and boring Multiplayer mode that Glu Games Inc. added to the sequel, because it does not extend the game's replay value.

Samurai vs Zombies Defense 2

If you're like me, and have beat every level, daily challenge and have collected every artifact more than three times, I have good news. Glu Games has rolled out an all new “Endless Mode" that generates single player waves beyond level 50. There is also a new warrior Daimyo (you have to pay real money to unlock him), new ally upgrades, and even a new zombie wasteland to battle through. Other upgrades include small tweaks such as the ability to view an enemy's individual stats, new Village Archers artillery, new Bridge Spirits to defend your gate, and additional stability and performance improvements.

Snoop Dogg Takes Over iOS Devices with Two New Apps

Snoop Lion (formally known as Snoop Dogg) has released a "Sticker Camera" app, and plans to release a new game entitled Way of the Dogg for iOS and Android devices. Snoop Dogg's Snoopify Sticker Camera! is a photo sharing app which allows users to "Snoopify" their images with a variety of Snoop Dogg-inspired stickers. Once a photo is Snoppified, users can share them via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The app includes several free stickers and booster packs, like the popular Snoop Hood Full Pack, for $1 to $2. The app is compatible with the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. You can download it now for free through the App Store.

Taking a page from the Shaq Fu playbook, Snoop is also bringing his Xbox Live fighting game Way of the Dogg to iOS devices. The game is described as a "rhythm-action combat game".

“It’s the way you live, it’s the way you do what you do and captures the beat, the rhythm and the spirit of my music,” explained Snoop. “It’s not just about who you are ow where you've been, but where you are headed to. This game shows how we evolve as individuals and they've incorporated the journey of my own personal reincarnation as Snoop Lion into my character, the environments and the path that players have to follow.”

Injustice: Gods Among Us is Free for iOS Devices

In case you missed the memo, Injustice: Gods Among Us is free for all compatible iOS devices. Comic book fans who do not have a console, or can't afford the console version, should check out the iPhone or iPad app. The game is a pretty hefty download, so make sure you have enough space and are connected to Wi-Fi before downloading it to your device.

Warner Bros. describes the game as a "free to play collectible card game that allows you to build a roster of playable characters, moves and powers". The game is set in an alternate reality where Superman has murdered the Joker setting off a battle between his army and Batman's Insurgency. Injustice is a fighting game where your team of superheros and villains battle other DC Comics' characters.
