Safari by default uses Google as its search engine, which is no surprise since its market share of internet searches is somewhere in the neighborhood of 75%. Even so, Apple realizes people have their own preferences that may not align with the crowd's for any number of reasons, and has accordingly offered several other search engines for use with Safari - Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo.

Safari on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch has slowly increased a limit on the number of tabs that can be left open in the background. Originally only eight tabs could be left open, then Apple introduced the Rolodex-inspired Safari interface with over 20 tabs. Since iOS 10, improvements to software and hardware alike have lifted these limits to an "unlimited" number of tabs. In reality, there's still a maximum number of Safari tabs that can be opened in iOS.

There are many ways to get support from Apple for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch problems. The Apple Store Genius Bar is often the first line of support for many Apple users. Having someone look at your device and run diagnostic testing requires an appointment in advance. Otherwise you could find yourself at the Apple Store waiting a long time for the next available time slot.

The idea of continuity between devices has been around for some time now and is improved upon with each new iOS iteration. Basically it allows you to quickly and seamlessly transfer your work, calls, messages, etc. from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or vice versa. One particularly useful feature on both the Safari and Chrome browsers lets you transfer your tabs, so if you've navigated to a webpage on your phone, you can simply open up the same page on your Mac without having to do something tedious like copy the link and email it to yourself, as you may have done once upon a time.
